The Local Seen by Plymouth Area Community Media is a nonprofit community media center serving the towns of Plymouth, Pembroke, Kingston, Duxbury, and the South Shore region of Massachusetts. We reflect the interests, issues, and perspectives of our communities by covering local issues and resources, supporting small businesses and nonprofits, and amplifying local voices and stories through our award-winning news division. We preserve democracy through transparency by providing gavel-to-gavel coverage of local government meetings, and are committed to the concept of community media as a powerful tool for education, in the form of media training, and content that informs residents about the services, resources, and cultural experiences available to them. Our mission is to amplify voices and connect community through education and local, unbiased, and noncommercial media that informs, empowers, and entertains. We promote diversity of viewpoints and experiences, and embrace creativity and innovation as drivers of engagement and participation, adapt to new technologies, experiment with different formats, and tell the stories that matter to our community in continuously evolving ways.

Pilgrim Hall Museum, located at 75 Court Street in historic Plymouth center, is one of America's oldest museums and a treasure-house of early Plymouth history, with an unsurpassed collection of original possessions of the Mayflower Pilgrims and iconic New England artworks. Telling an inclusive story of Plymouth Colony’s founding, the Museum highlights the intersecting stories of the Wampanoag people and early English settlers in three galleries of art, object, and compelling media. Portions of an epic needlework in progress, The Plymouth Tapestry, are displayed in exquisite hand-stitched detail. Climate controlled and fully accessible, the Museum offers a welcoming place for visitors to engage the story of early Plymouth. Open March to early December, Wednesday through Sunday, 9:30 am to 5 pm (Last admission at 4:30 pm); group bookings by appointment available 7 days weekly. Free for Plymouth residents.
